But now here we go again with a new energy and a pile of practical informations.
Let's do it.
If you want to talk in some language, you have to know probably the most popular verbs. I mean about "to be (or not to be)" and "to have".
You know these words, and you can build simple sentences about yourself. You can describe basic actions, and this is a solid base.
I shouldn't waste the time for funny jokes (which you actually don't get), so I am getting my backside to a job.
Być
To be - być (infinitive) that form isn't so popular in common speaking.
I am - Ja jestem / Jestem (ja isn't necessary in polish. We know who are you talking about if you say just "jestem").
You are - Ty jesteś / Jesteś
she, he, it is - ona, on, to jest (and we have albo ono when you say about a child)
We are - my jesteśmy / jesteśmy
You are - wy jesteście / jesteście
They are - oni są (you should say it with "oni")
Before we start with cases and "ends" which are a dream of everyone who just started with polish or another language which are cases inside, you should learn a few popular adjectives.
These, you can use onlu for yourself (ja jestem)
hungry - głodna (girl) / głodny (man)
smart - sprytna / sprytny
wise - mądra / mądry
rich - bogata / bogaty
good (kind and also good in something f.e. singing) - dobra / dobry
bad (the same rule) - zła / zły
stupid - głupia / głupi
tall - wysoka / wysoki
small, little, short - mała / mały | niska / niski |
angry - zła / zły
pissed (very annoyed) - wkurzona / wkurzony (wulgar wkurwiona / wkurwiony)
You know what... - here you'll find more http://www.ang.pl/gramatyka/czesci_mowy/przymiotnik_adjectives
just remember the rule, everything about girls is with "a" end.
Mieć
to have - mieć (infinitive) that form isn't so popular in common speaking
I have (sth) - ja mam (coś)
You have - ty masz
she, he, it has - ona, on, to ma
We have - my mamy
You have - wy macie
They have - oni mają
And rule for using that. Hm. It's not so easy to explain, that's why we will take it next time, ok?
So have a nice fun with polish, and till the next time.
